Bagasse Round Plate (9")

Bagasse Round Plate (9") offers a sustainable alternative to plastic-lined disposable plates. Made from moulded sugarcane fibre, these unlined plates resist grease and moisture while staying rigid under a full plated main course. Perfect for caterers, cafés and event organisers looking to reduce their environmental footprint without compromising on performance.

Key Features

• Size/Capacity: 9-inch diameter, round shape
• Pack size: 50 per sleeve, 500 per case

Ideal For

Caterers use these plates for wedding receptions, corporate lunches and outdoor buffets where a full-size dinner plate is essential. Cafés and canteens serve hot main courses like roast dinners, curries and pasta dishes directly onto these sturdy plates. Event organisers rely on them for festivals, community gatherings and charity functions where compostable serviceware helps meet sustainability goals. Food trucks benefit from the grease resistance when plating loaded fries, burgers or fish and chips. Schools and healthcare facilities appreciate the ability to dispose of plates with food waste rather than separating recyclables.

Picture a busy Saturday wedding reception: the catering team plates two hundred chicken mains, stacks them for transport, and guests dine comfortably knowing everything goes into the compost bin afterwards. Or consider a café lunch rush, where staff quickly plate hot specials, confident the bagasse holds up under gravy and steam. At an outdoor festival, vendors serve hearty portions without worrying about flimsy plates buckling in the queue.

Good to Know

Store sleeves flat in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight to maintain structural integrity. The unlined construction means plates can be disposed of directly into food waste or home compost bins, breaking down naturally. For serving saucier dishes, pair with bagasse bowls or compartment trays to contain liquids. Stack unused plates neatly to maximise storage space and prevent warping.
